How to interview a job candidate for maximum impact and fit

The average job interview lasts 30 minutes to an hour. By now, most interviewers know that questions like “Where do you see yourself in five years?” or “What are your greatest strengths?” are a waste of valuable time. And while a Behavioral Interview approach is certainly an upgrade, a savvy candidate will be able to anticipate the themes and answer with rehearsed examples.

Enter the “Flip Interview” interview technique–which cuts to the chase by providing direct insight to a candidate’s critical thinking skills and job/industry knowledge. It also allows both the candidate and the hiring leader to sample each other’s communication skills and problem solving styles for mutual fit–greatly improving the chances of finding the right match in a single round of interviews for most staff-level roles (and with it, the efficiency and agility of your hiring process).

If you’re not already using the Flip Interview model, consider incorporating it into your process (thank me later) πŸ™‚πŸ‘
